Gavrilo Princip


Gavrilo Princip was born in June or July of 1894. He was the son of a postman and was one of nine children. He's health was poor throughout his whole life and he eventually died of tuberculosis. Princip left to Serbia and joined the secret Black Hand society which was a nationalist movement that favored a union between Bosnia-Herezgonia and Serbia. Princip was sent by the chief of the Intelligence Department in the Serbian army to assassinate Ferdinand with two other men. They were successful.
